The Fellowship Coaches

Throughout the year, each Fellow works with a Board level Executive Coach. They provide them with a critical sounding board, plus challenge and support their ongoing development.

    Catherine Bain

    Catherine has over 20 years business experience, and now works as an advisor and coach to individuals, teams and organisations.  Her coaching focus is on leadership and team-building, strategy and culture, talent management, and career development.  She began her career working for a global investment bank in the UK and US, advising business leaders on their corporate strategy and financing decisions; she was also responsible for a number of the mentoring and development programmes within the bank.  Drawn by the potential of assisting businesses and individuals achieve higher performance through building leadership capability and a strong team culture, Catherine moved into executive search and talent/leadership advisory in 2007.  Since then, she has worked with senior executives in Europe, the US, Africa and Asia, advising on career development, team building, talent management and strategic initiatives.  A former international gymnast, Catherine’s diverse background in sport and business allows her to understand the challenges of continually moving performance to higher levels in competitive environments.  Her passion lies in working with leaders and teams to allow them to think differently and deliver more, increasing their potential to achieve excellence while maintaining their core values.

As a coach, she mainly works with senior managers and leaders of global corporations, across Europe. She coaches individuals and groups, and facilitates leadership, executive team development, advanced managerial trainings and cultural change programs in a coaching mode.

    Qualifications Laurence combines a business and scientific educational background. She holds a MBA from HEC Paris (MBA HEC), and has a Pharmaceutical PhD (DPharm) as well as a Bioregulatory Medicine Practitioner Post-Graduate degree (MBRCP). She graduated from the Meyler Campbell Business Coach and Psychology for Coach program (WABC accredited) in London. She is particularly accredited with MBTI and Strengths Realise 2 tool. She also recently trained in Neuroscience for coaches, and is undergoing training to become a teacher in Mindfulness. She is French and lives in London with her two children for more than 20 years, runs regularly (one marathon, several half-marathons), sculpts (www.laurenbrio.com) and plays the piano.

    David Adams is a business, leadership coach, trainer and facilitator specialising in the management of brainpower. He has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services.  A chartered accountant, he has been a stockbroker and corporate financier. As CEO of the then UK’s largest Stockbroking house outside of London, he was responsible for growing the business to its most profitable in its 130 year history. He also led its transformation from partnership through limited company to PLC.

    Subsequently, after various projects as a consultant first to The London Stock Exchange helping to enhance the reputation of AIM, the Alternative Investment Market and to various professional practices he became interim managing director of an international medical technology company where he led its sale to a listed company.
